what is it with these stupid fucking asian stores and not adding gst?!?

if they think they will attract more customers because theire prices appear lower they are wrong, because i for one will not waste my time calculating gst onto every fucking item i wish i know the price of, ill go somewhere else.

it also makes them come across very unprofessional and shabby

did you finish high school?
its pretty easy to add gst, and as a business its easier to see the costs, before I claim the gst bac

Also alot of 'ONLINE' stores because they are online they don't just sell to New Zealanders.

no, im still in high school. But I dont browse computer shop websites for a math lesson or to make thier accounting easier .

well id just like to say you would probably be missing out on potential customers .. as I know myself and other people would simply bust over to the next site.

Design a site so that the customer gets to choose whether they see GST inclusive or exclusive prices.

Ascent is in the process of updating website etc. That will bring a few nice changes for everyone to use.

not because we cant add, but because we dont/shouldnt have to!. cybernation and ascent have gst and non gst inclusive prices, which i think is a good idea.

gst or not most of these shops have simaliar prices, so im going to give my money to one that puts itself across the best ie. one that doesnt make me calculate gst.

How do you figure out that companies listing GST inclusive prices are more expensive ?

People get charged GST anyway, so unless you are a company which can claim GST back, it is pointless to look at GST exclusive prices.

People should also note charges for freight on these sites. Not every site has a *clear indication* of frieght charges stated.

Some sites don't even state whether prices are inc or exc GST..... If it's not at the top or bottom of the page, or at the beginning of the store section, I tend to sod off elsewhere. It's ILLEGAL to not state whether prices include GST or not. If they can't comply with something that simple, they're not gonna be around in 6 months when I need a warranty replacement.

Hey man, dont make be out to be some sort of racist. I like asians : D, it's just that they never seem to add gst in thier prices, I know that death pointed out that they sell to other countries too, but they could at least have something to indicate gst prices.

your missing the fucking point anyway, I know adding is easy, so why cant the shop do it?

Given the choice to browse a site WITH gst and freight, or to browse a site that makes me divide by 100 and * by 12.5 ill opt for the former. I thought that would be fairly obvious to any buisness :/.

ie: when I go into e-one personally, I ask for a price, i'll let him babble on about the price, then I will just say "What's that with GST?"

Ummm... no, its not ILLEGAL.
If its not stated then its INCLUDED. If they try to say that "sorry Sir, we've got to add 12.5% to that final price", then you can go CGA on their ass.
