Objection!

Talking

Were you born retarded or did your parents abuse you as a child? I can otherwise think of little reason why you'd constantly resort to these lame one line retorts all the time.

No wait, I'm wrong. You're actually a fucking incompetent internet insulter. Not many people I'd ever say this to, but you could actually learn something from CCS.

Goff fucks up the Labour party once more, love it.

Pretty standard issue to neither confirm nor deny - unless its polar opposites like Labour and Act or National and Greens of course. IMO It would be unlikely though that National will need NZ First anyway.

Given that Goff has said he WOULD work with Winston, if I were JK I'd wait until 2 days out from the next election before saying I WOULDN'T. Instant vote-winner.

We'll cross that bridge if I ever come to it. One never knows, there are always lots of games you can play around there between (Winston) and Michael Laws. It depends who the leader is, I suppose... I understand there's some competition
Sounds like he's setting the groundwork in case he needs to flip flop. Good-bye moral high ground.

Or has something changed? Did the whole Owen Glenn donation misunderstand get sorted out & Winston was in the right?

Think you're getting your corruption wires crossed, that was Labour. Winston was getting bribes from the gambling and fishing industries IIRC.

It wasn't that long ago

Quote:
In an explosive letter to Parliament's privileges committee released this morning billionaire Owen Glenn wrote that Mr Peters sought, obtained and thanked him for a $100,000 donation.

Mr Peters had denied knowledge of the donation which he says his lawyer Brian Henry obtained in December 2006 to pay legal costs. Today he said Mr Glenn was wrong and that he would prove it.
Quote:
Mr Key said unless Mr Peters could provide a credible explanation, something he thought unlikely to happen, he would be unacceptable in a government he led.

I think it's terrible that private citizens expressing their opinions are not subject to any form of regulation or professional or ethical standards. Just terrible.

It's more private citizens acting in a public capacity - what's the difference between an ad-supported blog and a newspaper? Newspapers are obliged to state when it's an opinion piece.

How specifically does one differentiate what is public and private in this context?

One possibility: when you have very little (if any) control over who can access the content - ie Buying/borrowing a newspaper = visiting a blog. Where as a conversation is - unless interfered with - private, so equivalent to say ICQ, GTalk or other forms of IM (facebook / forum private messages / etc)

The Last Real Time was pretty lol with the TP dude in the middle. Though I'm not sure even if the Dems did crow about all their achievements, they'd have much chance. Americans are just plain crazy atm. I mean look at the clowns who they are putting up and who are getting in.
Was a really good ad on C&L (iirc) about 'I remember' that the dems should be spamming the hell out of. Not that it'll work.

Less transparency? If you're referring to the MP's travel allowances being made public, that's got nothing to do with John Key. That's the Speaker. BTW, I don't recall Labour ever doing anything about making MP's allowances more transparent.
