Dredd was surprisingly not dreadful. It IS kind of like The Raid, lots of shooting instead of bone crunching hand to hand, and with a peroxide blonde and Karl Urban instead. But there is no other way to describe the violence other than gratuitous.

Spur of the moment I saw 'Life of Pi'. Didn't realise it had such strong religious/faith themes. Apart from that it wasn't boring and the action scenes were done amazingly. But yeah, Divine intervention and 25000 people per day dying of hunger can't be reconciled. So sorry Pi, you were just lucky.

Zero Dark Thirty I declare these to be the best and only films I've seen this year. Both highly recommended. |

i dont really get the slowmo thing though, everything would pass in real time for everyone else but their brain is getting delayed info? so when they get chucked off the balcony they would have only fallen one or two floors (in slowmo) when they pancaked, so they wouldnt even see the moment before impact, just a few moments of ball tripping falling and then dead |

Django Unchained was pretty good. Don't know why people were gnashing their teeth over the violence? Wasn't that bad. Did note that when he shot the shelia, the body dissapeared real fast.
Had some pretty funny moments. Love watching slaves fuck up oppressors. Funny how Americans 'hate the slavery depiction' when really it embodies their ideal of fighting for your freedom. |
