Yeah, I'm with Asriel. I wasn't being a prick, I was genuinely curious.

I find that squeeze (which you cannot do as effectively with a wide grip) is most useful for building definition in the inner pec. It just doesn't happen as well with a wider grip. Of course, I always change things up.
oh yeah i get what ya mean. part of the reason I prefer db bench over the bar is because i can get that squeeze at the end, whereas doing close grips with a bar i find just works my triceps more- im not sure how you are getting a squueze at the end because all the motion with a bar is upwards, not inwards.

As for kettlebells, I like em but most gyms dont use them for the simple fact that the majority of the population would fuck themselves up and the people around them if they were to use them. And while they are very beneficial, the pro kettlebell brigade gets on my nerves with how much they gush over them.

Not at all referring to you, or anyone else asking questions or being genuine. Thought I made that pretty clear, there's a lot of helpful posts, and good questions.

I have just spent three months flashpacking around South East Asia.

My exercise routine involved walking everywhere, swimming and a visit to a gym when possible.

Diet we bought and carried muesli for breakfast and ate this with fresh fruit and protein. Finding protein was the hardest thing of our trip.

Lunch was always a rice or noodles meal with lots of veges and some meat

Dinner Usually a stir fry.

If we got hungry in between meals we would eat nuts or have a fruit shake

Didn't go mental on the 1$ cocktails but drank booze at least once a week.

Anyway had my stats done yesterday.

Have lost 8 Kilos and am down to 14.2% body fat.

Choice.

I am going to write up something a bit more informative for my blog when I get time but this thread has always been an interesting read.

How does one calculate body fat %, out of interest?
Is it something you need a PT or doctor to do?

Isn't it when they use the pincer things to grab and measure a roll of your stomach?
Otherwise...no idea.

It can be done with pincers, or electroconductively. My gym can do it either way, by appointment.

Last time I had it done, the meter was all over the map. I suspect this was directly caused by my awesomeness.

you can do it youself.

most unreliable way: electro method (scales or handheld device). I've found it can be up to 5% wrong. but if it's consistently wrong then it's ok to work with over long periods. check trademe for devices.

fairly reliable way: calipers. generally only a couple % wrong at most.

most accurate methods: xray, infrared, ultrasonic. you'll have to see aprofessional for that.

and yes please get rid of haydos.

tbh, fuck em.

If two burly bound faggots want to get upset that I mock them for being in such a way, to the point that one of them wants to ban me (there are better reasons to ban me than calling you a muscle bound chump, you stupid fuck) - then I don't really care.

But yeah, Hostels in Europe? That's a place to make yourself famous.

If you have a body, and you have body-fat, then that's a 1:1 ratio

If you have two bodies and body fat, that's a 2:1 ratio...

I was simply referring your comment about losing weight and backpacking. Most kiwi's who go backpacking do a lot of drinking and shagging. Whereas you seem to think it's about eating muesli and carrying kettleballs.

Oi! Shagging is good exercise for losing weight!

And if it's not, let me keep my illusions!

Depends if you can afford junk food or not, when I was backpacking, all of our money was usually spent on getting to the next place and getting pissed, with very little remaining to buy food - when we bought food, we tended to buy shit like cereal simply because it was cheap and gave you energy for the day ahead.

Yes and it helps you lose weight when you get drunk while backpacking eh? Or did you stay up late eating lentils instead?

How many fat alcoholics do you know? True alcoholics, not the tubby fuckers you hang with who like getting on the piss.

Oh, gee, that's right. Alcohol when not combined with any real dosage of carbohydrates tends to drain the body as it enters and exits the system.

Fancy that.

Heh yeah you're right, calling him a burly faggot and a stupid fuck are *two* better reasons to ban you.

Because you were referring to alcoholism when you said backpacking is a great way to lose weight. I gotcha buddy, but I didn't read in between the lines before. You're just too subtle...

You're about as stupid as you probably look.

What, in backpacking, implies that I would be doing anything other than drinking every night?

You said and eating cereal is a great way to lose weight, sounded like you were speaking from experience. Your experience however is to eat muesli, walk around and being an alcoholic. I missed the last part you're hardcore!

So, by the incident of me saying "Yes, backpacking is a good way to meet chicks and you lose weight too"

You want full disclosure and if you don't get it in the first message, you'll continue being an upstart little fuckhole about it?

You're a big burly faggot who wants my ass, admit it.

What are some good fitness programs/diets for women?
My fiance and I are running 3x a week at the moment. I also do weight training 3x a week and try to eat as much as possible.
I ain't got no idea what a woman should be eating, let alone training.

Those are only my heavy sets of each day, which is always the first exercise. I'll warm up gradually without really tiring myself, and then do a single low-rep high-weight work set.
