Have already got a few scripts and mods sorted out that make it reasonably good to manage.

Major MP fixes out today including... minecarts and boats.... work slightly better, but itd a start.

Multiplayer fixes:
* hellworld=true no longer overwrites old save chunks. Player positions will still break if you switch it on a running server, though
* boats are now visible to other players
* minecarts move nicer
* fishing kinda sorta works, but needs more work
* sheep and cows look like sheep and cows now
* buckets work now
* fixed stairs being really difficult to destroy
* increased the timeout before “Took too long to log in”
* made it possible to ride carts and boats
* added (after lots of work) the ability to steer server-side boats
* added “no-animals” setting. if true, animals will immediately vanish
* added support for more animation settings. Currently it’s just the “riding” animation, but the same system will be used for sneaking

hey Sam - have you done something on your server so the mapping API doesn't always update on each save now?

Yeah, I disabled the automatic map generation cause it was sucking up too much memory and causing the game server to be killed

I've just been running it manually every now and again (it's updating now...)

I'll look at deploying the server update too, but I'm not sure whether it's compatible with the server mods yet, and I can' really test it out at work...

It really means "outdated server"

Have updated my server, should be all go now. Hopefully boats and minecarts don't kill it

Have also got the login details for the WMS server too, so will update that tomorrow if I get some time.

I am fucking impressed by some of the work done, I might have to drop single player and get some imagination going again! I've pretty much exhausted everything in single player so back to multi it is!

Is anyone other than Sam able to give ops to my new account? Not being able to port anywhere is ass

Also, I've bought the WMS server that p01s0n was previously running up to date now, and installed the same plugins that I have on mine.

All the existing ops users are now mods, so if you want to jump back into that world it's running again at minecraft.wheresmyserver.net.nz

I see someone has made a huge underground railway system....

If it truly works now, I might re-visit my aboveground railway.... the plan was to make a railway that people could use to visit all the attractions people have built....

I planned out the area for a booster system, but based on some videos of the minecart system in MP, probably to early.
