It's a crazy ass run from the new spawn point back to the original starting area.

Why is it that my bed is wigging out? I've now moved it into the centre of my new glasshouse so there's a minimum of 6 squares in any direction between it and an obstruction, so, yay?

I shit you not, I had been planning to dye a whole lot of wool and build myself a giant red mushroom to live in. Can they be replanted ? Hollowed out even ? Too far from my mud hut to make the trek and investigate just yet.

Plant a normal Red/Brown mushroom and then Bonemeal it.

Because you don't get Giant Mushroom BLOCKS dropped (just the Mushroom item), you may find that if you want a multi-room Shroom that you either need to grow many of them and add walls etc, or that you stick with the original made-from-wool plan.

My field of giant red mushrooms made my place easy to spot on the render

I quit!

After being repeatedly killed by the server crashes and lag (which now seem to be all cleared up, thanks Cowboy!), I discovered that someone had flooded and capped my staircase to level 12. To make matters worse, now I can't find my underground cache. The small cache I did find had nothing but cobble left in it - no wood, no iron, no coal. Where has that stuff gone?

If that stuff was in the chests between the world save and the crash it may well have just vanished due to not being saved. Zeo had that happen.

Sam was having a look at the bukkit stuff too so we might put on the chest locking and possibly removing the hunger bar (if people agree and there's a plugin to do that).

What's up with being attacked when trying to sleep? It happened earlier this morning that both ChocoBunny and I were trying to advance the server but got kicked out of bed by monsters.......

Before Midora and I fenced off our village we'd always come back in day time to find random blocks missing or being put down. I've caught them doing it a few times, the nosey bastards!

The sleeping thing has gotten SO much worse since 1.8. In 1.7 you could put your bed in a specific place and not worry, but it seems in 1.8 no matter what you do or how much you light up the surroundings, you'll get woken up by a monster
