VICE is trash 99% of the time, but 1% is an oral history of Tim Curry’s cutscenes in RA3.

Interesting they included suicide doors. And those door opening are huge. Not going to be able to get out in a supermarket carpark with those things.

I have vivid memories of listening to "Escaping" on the radio during the summer 1989-1990. Great song.

I put an SSD in my friend's laptop and got her on Windows 10 and she gave me a 1.25L of "Swamp Juice" from Brew Union in Palmy to say thanks. 6.5%, smelt like a burnout, but tasted pretty good.

If you ever wanted to shit-post but didn't know where to start, I would recommend this beer.

Browsers ...

Brave has been my poison of choice for quite a while and I couldn't be happier with it (Brave + Blockada on smartphone has been brilliant, but now even Blockada is changing to a subscription model ), but it's also a Chromium based browser.

With the touted changes to Chromium (apparently) impacting the ability to use ad-blockers etc., what other browsers are people using these days? Is Firefox still the privacy/secure go-to?

Google is banning using VPN apps for adblocking via the Play Store too.
Cunts.

In any event, Brave are on record saying they will continue to be backward compat with Manifest v2.

Pick up a cheap Mikrotik, get good, set up a vpn server on it with adblock on your home network. Profit.

First GP consultation I've had in probably 5+ years. $61 for 10mins & it was a phone call. Jesus.

How do we know the oil we drill for is dead organic matter that was compressed into hydrocarbons over the millennia and not layers of intense plastic pollution from a long past civilisation that suffered the same treatment? Would it look any different?

I'm guessing more way than one.

And such a society would have to be stable much longer than we have been to create the kinds of concentrations we see.

That’s my kind of random thought. Right up there with, if viruses can change human dna what are the impacts of covid and its vaccines going to have on us?

If we divert an asteroid from hitting Earth, what gift might the planet miss out on receiving?
