Hmm, a self imposed fat tax might help me lose some weight... for every month (or week) I'm overweight, I have to put into a savings account an amount equal to $1 per kilo over my target weight.

It'll stop me spending that money on crap food, and I get some savings out of it too.

You pay tax on the ciggarettes you buy to help pay for the medical treatment you are going to need for smokeing these cigarettes, Yes?

Beaing Unhealthy means you need more medical attention, Yes!

Then why do you pay no tax on being fat, when you have to on ciggarettes, when both require you to seek more medical facilities in the future?

What about compulsory gym attendance/exercise classes/diet advice to qualify for healthcare if you are obese (at your own cost)?

At least if you're fat, prove you're trying not to be (or don't get healthcare for heart problems and diabetes)
