I have applied for a few jobs in my time - the polite rejection is OK, you shrug and carry on. Sending an E-Mail with "your loss" would seem like a rather pointless thing to do.

Equanimity. I'm not sure if I've really got it, and I suspect that if I had it, it would probably oil my gears. But I also suspect that having equanimity might be highly dis-satisfactory if it came with an awareness that others lacked equanimity.

So given that it might oil my gears I'm putting it here. I guess I'm just putting a little disclaimer on it too though, because a corner of my mind suspects that it might also grind my gears at times. Especially if someone else has it and I don't. Doubt. Isn't it wonderful?

OMG - a week holiday in Wanaka, and finally getting to ride TC and Cardrona. Best riding I've seen since getting back from Vancouver, even with no fresh snow for almost a week. Cardrona is mean, can't wait to hit it again next year, a bit earlier in the season
