All I've been listening to lately is < 1980, when people actually made *music*.

I'm so fucking old.

Hmm, can't say I agree. Tell me what genre you are referring to and i'll try to point you down a vein of quality music from that genre.

more like, sixty percent of adults can't digest processed milk. a nice obvious way of demonstrating this is feeding a bowlful of supermarket milk to your cat. it'll want to drink more but a bowl is enough. follow the cat around for a few minutes ... when it does the business be sure to stay well clear.

now give the same cat milk fresh from a cow ...

ps, first.

I dunno, at least for me the early 90's was heavily defined with grunge and pop-punk.

I don't see how anyone could make a bad statement about Phil Collins, INXS or Prince tbh. Michael Jackson was in his fucking prime in those days.

Any particular reasons why the 80's sucked?

Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like "In the Air Tonight" and "Against All Odds".

Do you like Huey Lewis and The News? Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour.

Speaking of blood. Do any of you guys donate blood/plasma/platelets?

Basically the hospitals can't get enough blood because of a lack of donors. Donating is cool, it gives you that warm fuzzy feeling of knowing it's going to a good cause

I donate plasma about every 4 weeks. Hurtling towards 100 donations total now (in the 90's I think). Free wifi, glass of OJ, cheese and crackers, sweet.

o/~ she likes it in the asssssssssssss

Mental note: if one is at a client business in a suit looking all professional and businesslike, it bursts the bubble if one is caught out absentmindedly singing to oneself in the boardroom while concentrating on last-minute changes to a big document. For bonus points make sure the song isn't "Critter" by Steel Panther.

There is only a blood shortage because no money is paid for it in this country; I reslise here it's not legal to pay here.

If it were legal to pay then the way to get good clean blood is to pay generously when that is what is taken.

$500 for good clean and rare blood claimable once per month would do it. $250 for good clean common blood and a $2000 fine for bad blood.

Well this is certainly true. If they'd give me $250 once a month to donate blood, I'd be down there every month without fail. I can understand the $2000 fine for knowingly donating bad blood (actually, I think it should be higher), but I would've thought that testing donated blood would be standard procedure anyway?
