The council did mention that they didn't design it to go through walls, which is ironic considering the number of houses currently in a state where you might as well be outside.

The comments that it is just part of the greater warning system are correct, although last time there was some drama, it took a couple of weeks before I was able to catch anything on telly due to all power and phones being out...
