Getting photo's like this of my dogs in action makes me very happy about having spent so much money on a new camera.

A mariachi ogre snorkel

Discovered dumped at my rubbish bins on Thursday night.
According to the vet we raced off to: female, 3 weeks old, dehydrated and hypothermic when we found her (no idea how long she'd been there, but at 3 weeks it doesn't take long to get thirsty and cold outside in the open air). She's been living in an Icewind Dale beanie to keep warm, and as you can see from the photo above, I've been feeding her feline baby formula with a syringe. |

Aw poor little thing. That's so young to be away from her mother
Good thing it was your bin though. You two are complete cat freaks. |

Aww, I hope the kitten recovers. Sounds like she found the right people.
On a slightly different note, is anyone able to recommend an Abyssinian breeder in the North Island? Near Auckland would be ideal, but will travel. Thanks in advance. |

I'd really like to catch someone dumping a kitten or puppy. I really fucking would.
If you have a kitten/puppy you don't want it takes one phonecall to the SPCA or Aussie version... and done. People who dump them are just. Fucking. Cunts. p.s. Good on you, Simon (and Princess). |

AT them, not IN them "bins" plural because trash and recyclables go in different bins. We live at the border between suburbia and where "the bush" starts, right on the edge of a national park, and we're the last house on the street. While traffic is almost non-existent, there's always a few retards that seem unable to read the "NO THROUGH ROAD" signs and hoon up our street expecting that it will take them out of town, whereas it basically reaches our place and stops. What I suspect is that someone has done just that, reached the end of the street, turned around at our rubbish bins, thought "good enough", and dropped the kitten out the window and driven off. There was a plastic grocery bag right next to where we found her, which makes me suspect that she was dumped in the bag and managed to crawl out -- quite an achievement if she did, being 3 weeks old and not exactly mobile. The only thing that has me wondering is... well, ONE kitten seems a strange abandonment. You usually hear of litters being dumped, not single kittens. I had a good look around the area, though, and she seems to have been alone. |

chiQ, thanks for the link.
We're Beagle hunting too. There's a breeder in Wgtn we are going to check out, but breeders seem fairly scarce round these parts. |
