I wonder if that's an old wive's tale...
i thought it was because food that is prepared for a location cannot be later removed from that location to be consumed

NO.
And whether there are any fines outstanding on a car is public information I believe?
Fines outstanding on the car? All fines are liable to the registered owner of the vehicle at the time of the fine.

Finally, if a person gets a speeding ticket (after being stopped by a cop) and leaves the country without paying, does this have any impact on the vehicle itself. NO
ok, so an update: the person who these fines relate to, has been told that she might get stopped leaving the country. being american, her response was: "oh no...don't worry, I won't have to pay." There are two fines - one a speeding ticket issued by a cop (116km on teh motorway, "cops would never have pulled me over back home, they're not that anal") and the other issued by the council for expired rego when her car was snapped parked on the side of the road ("why should i have to pay for rego, I don't even normally live here")

Leave date is June 22, so keep your eyes peeled for further info after that

Am buying her car, so questions I asked originally were quite pertinent.

Also I was up late last night wondering what Ab's stance is on allowing MHG to see the Matrix.

Does he claim that it's a standalone movie and there are no sequels?
Does he let MHG see the sequels as a cautionary tale?
Does he prevent MHG from becoming aware of it entirely?

Because English is completely fucked and has borrowed from many different sources but that's cool because we like it that way.

Amen to that.

I used to have a DSE Super-80 - It was a very basic ealry 80's Aussie pre-PC. The monitor (ie pre-Basic boot loader) would respond to syntax errors thusly:
