That is a good idea.
Try and make sure your stylesheet and generated html/xhtml code comply with the http://www.w3.org standards. Always good to make your page accessible to everyone. |

Hey.. Nic Wood..
There is one change that I feel you must make to your website... I see you have copied our custom-made graphics which my wife made, and used them on your website. They are those snazzy "review, drop, rise, info, new" graphics in your specials section.
Better remove those pronto, I'd say. regards Paul Last edited by Hotstuff : 29th January 2003 at 22:51. |

Oh, I forgot my first letter which wasn't replied to.
Date: Sun, 9 Feb 2003 17:33:42 -0800 (PST) From: "#myname#" <#myemail#> Subject: Fwd: e-Friend ROBOT: Customer order. To: [email protected] I have since learned that Direct Credit is not necessarily the same as paying by credit card. Although your site says you accept credit cards it did not explicitly show this option when I ordered the motherboard and cpu (I assumed Direct Credit was the same thing). How can I pay this by credit card? |

User Awaiting Email Confirmation

I recently needed a new mobo and CPU so did some hunting for the best price, pp.co.nz had the best price but recent threads indicated their service levels were lacking.
I emailed Hotchips with the price from pp.co.nz asking what their price was (as I've purchased through Hotchips before and was very impressed). They replied back with a cheaper price and a generally helpful email. I ordered the parts, they were then delayed due to a mistake by the supplier (then there was another delay due to NZPost completely screwing up the delivery). Neither of these problems were Hotchips fault but they were quick to help track down the problems and provide updated details on the situation. Kudos to Hotchips. you shoulda then gone back to pp and said "hey look hotchips has bettered your price - what you going to do about it"
PP has bettered so many prices for me in the past I don't bother going anywhere else for my hardware - (aside from window shopping) |

Hyper, we don't like people who do that to us, and I'm sure PP get sick of it too.
It is no fun to have a reputation for the lowest prices, and no fun being drawn in to price wars. We are enjoying a much happier business by avoiding being cheap, and we can give a much higher standard of service because of it. However sometimes we are still very low-priced (people often get a lower price by simply mailing us to ask for the latest price). |

Suffice to say unlike other people I'm not there to pay more money than I have to, I've lived with an account for 20 years and I know how to get a bargin and spot one :P

Gyrotech
Have just been trying to deal with Gyrotech (Monkeytech) for the last week.
I purchased some ram off them because they were the cheapest and they had a shop in town. The ram ended up being faulty and getting a replacement turned out to be a big mission!!! Ordered the replacement on Monday, they said they would have it on Tuesday and they would give me a call. They didn't call me and so I finally contacted them to be told it would be there on Wednesday morning, they said they would give me a call. They didn't call me, so I called them to which they said it would be in in the afternoon - they would call me. But they didn't call me, so I called them and was told the same thing but for Thursday morning. Ok come Thursday afternoon - once again they dont call me and I call them - still not there, I ask them what is going on? I convince them they should call their supplier and found out where it is and call me back. Friday (today) noon I call them, they tell me they know nothing about calling a supplier and cannot tell me what is going on. I ask for the manager to call me. I am very supprised!!! the manager calls me, he cant tell me what is going on but suggests something about 26th of Feb for ram from their supplier. I tell him I am comming in for a refund for the faulty goods. The refund for the faulty ram goes smoothly, I am supprised again (even though the guy who served me said he didn't know how to give refunds - he just got the money from the till in the end). So as the saying goes "You pay peanuts you get monkeys" I definatley wont be dealing with these guys again In an industry like their's they have so much competition, to gain an edge they should at least be able to deliver, poor customer service and no communication just doesn't cut it. I usually deal with Starlyte and I will continue to in the future, IMO nobody beats them for customer service and relability. Last edited by VERT : 21st February 2003 at 21:26. |
