Too bad, I still think it's pretty hard to film some of that stuff, and get usable (and sometimes beautiful) shots. Anyway, fully watching it tomorrow.

You do realise that it's more than just him + camerman right? There's a full support crew, including stunt co-coordinator, and he sleeps in their base camp most nights :P

It's no more a survival experience than an episode of Survivor.

For sure, I've looked at wiki entry about the show a while back. He still has to climb, eat crap food, and generally get his ass kicked by nature and I'm down with that - it makes for good television.

On another note, there was a show with him and this other guy, setting a paragliding record on Discovery a while back, so as far as I'm concerned Bear = awesome.

Just back from the States, not much on TV that was interesting or that we didn't all know about already.

But I'm getting a show called Z-Rock that looked funny, and there was one advertised pilot that looked ok, Dark Blue. Another cop show but it looked pretty dark and intense. I think it pilots in a few weeks.

That's the US air date isn't it - it was supposed to be on the Beeb this week - 15-19 June.

Maybe they decided to do a synch'd US/UK showing - that would explain why it isn't, um, around.

It's playing in week 27 (the bbc's weeks start on a Saturday), but I don't know the date/time when it'll air. I think the US airing is on the 20th of July?
