After switching to the 720p's I don't know how anyone can watch those awful 624x352 rips [when the 720 is available]. So terribly muddy. Take advantage of the Go Large Helious.
The 5.1 sound is another big reason too. It's not like I watch the shows the minute they air in the states so a litte extra wait is no big deal. |

Watchable, sure, in the same sense a Hyundai is driveable.
Once you get used to 720p and 5.1 surround you can't watch the 352 rips without consciously being aware of how nasty they are. Sure, I'll watch them if there's nothing better. If you're watching on an old 17" monitor OK, but on any half decent screen the difference is stark. Even on a cheap 32" LCD TV you can't help but notice big pixelated chunks whenever there's a darker shade. Without wanting to sound like a dick, I don't have a cap so that's not really an issue. If I did, I'd probably compromise and get 720p for the top end shows and settle on the low res for more so so shows. |

Too many steps required to recode MKV files into a format playable on the 360 and not lose quality

Once you've fined tuned it, it should just be one step with Super.

Slightly off the beaten track for this thread, but episode two of Discovery's Toughest Race On Earth:Iditarod airs tonight - if you've ever wondered about or are interested in the nutters who race sled dogs, it's a good show

House was meh... 13 getting her groove on was the highlight of the show but the whole "Lets make all of our characters have some sense of destructive behaviour" is a bit rich, no one does destructive like House and they should leave it to him.
PS, we're doing House Heroes Prison Break Smallville Survivor Gabon Dexter Californication True Blood Fringe The Mentalist CSI: New York (and only New York) Ocassional Letterman episodes if the guest is someone I want to see. My Own Worst Enemy Chuck My Name is Earl At other times: Burn Notice Flashpoint Lost Celebrity Apprentice Scrubs A few others I've probably forgotten. |

Heroes Terminator Boston Legal No Heroics True Blood How I met your mother Mythbusters CSI Bones Dexter Californication Fringe (but may give this one up) My own worst enemy (will give this some more time, but could be cool) Everything else isnt important enough, and NCIS is the biggest pile of shit I have ever had the displeasure watching.
