Those of you who follow my every post (and I expect that is all of you) will recall my utter contempt for the parents of pupils at a school near my house. These fucks park on yellow no stopping lines and double park in my cul-de-sac. This pisses me off not just because of my significant respect for the law but also because it's FUCKING INCONSIDERATE and they GET IN MY FUCKING WAY. I'd originally contacted the school and the council over this OUTRAGE and they were all like "Yeah man we'll get right on to that shit." Of course, they didn't. They never do without a lot of prompting and I kinda lost interest.

Why is this in the oiler thread? Welp, I learned last week that a fellow resident is also rather annoyed by these people (so I'm not the only crazy old man) and had actually written a letter to Mayor Len Brown himself. This lolled me sufficiently to make me once again pick up the baton. I was out there today harassing one of these horrible vehicular offenders and took a video of her driving off down the street, having just broken the law with wanton abandon. This amused me because somebody was coming the other way and didn't seem too pleased about the situation and wouldn't let the woman past (I reckon she could have squeezed past if she didn't think her RAV4 was the width of a tank). She ended up turning into a motel carpark. It's hardly a major victory but it did rather embiggen my mirth given that she had 20 seconds prior claimed that there was no problem with people parking illegally in the street.

So here now, is that video. Revel in its shittiness. It is short, uninteresting and the outrageous shakiness of the image has been corrected by Youtube to lend it a bizarre motion. But it makes me chuckle.

Note the 4 vehicles parked on the left. IN THE FUCKING WAY. There's another couple out of frame. That blue car was there for half of a goddamned hour. No, I wasn't waiting and watching for 30 minutes; it was there when I got home and was still there when I came out later to assess the situation.

nope. it's a triangle on the road pointing to a hydrant that may be in the grass.

the actual hydrant must be kept clear, however. on-road ones are circled in yellow.

Got up today, and looked at the cracks in my walls. Heard the wife walking around upstairs while I was shaving, because the whole house creaks now. Hopped in my dust covered car, and drove down my potholed driveway. Navigated between sets of roadworks and unsealed highway to get to work. Sat down at my desk and looked at the cracks in the walls here.

What OMG today? There was a 300m strip of brand new seal on a road that was lumpy and nasty yesterday! It made me happy that the roadcarpet pixies had been hard at work overnight (It was still munted yesterday afternoon when I drove home).

Well done roadies. Now, fix up the other 20kms of my daily routine, and I'll be over the moon.

Thats the worse of downgrades that i've ever seen. How are we going to win anything this season where we've swapped world-class players for middle of the table players? These have panic buys written all over them and I still cant' believe that they don't want to spend. How bloody hard is it to spend 20million on a player considering you just sold two players for a combined 55million!

Look at liverpool, they bought the hugely overpriced Carroll for 35mil just because they sold Torres!

Wheres M'villa boas and wheres Cahill!
