Some great shots - particularly Simon's, Dan's and lek's, but some otehr goodies in here too. Very nice stuff.
Fairly random selection of some shots of mine I like:

EDIT: Yep, just go to the gallery - does a "403" error if you don't - perhaps opening the links with no referrer might work <shrug>.

cheers! they're just random snaps from around London's South Bank a couple of months ago. The street-art ones are from The Cans Festival.

here's a mix I've been thrashing a lot lately - it's heavier and more raw than the one I did a while back, so I'm not sure whether it's entirely your thing, but have a listen if you want to: http://www.pixelfactor.org/mixes/btk...crime-side.mp3 tracklisting etc can be found here - http://www.pixelfactor.org/?p=687 anyway 'nuff shitting up the awesome photography thread. :D |

Vert: yep, I'm with the others - your photos are superb.
I was particularly interested in this one: Quote:
What I'm interested in is how yours is so much clearer with far better light handling. My setup for this shot was: - Tripod - ISO100, F/10, 20 sec - Canon 350D - Sigma 17-70mm DC lens - Small amount of contrast, saturation increase in Lightroom. I'd be keen to hear how you managed a much sharper image. The water looks more still, which could be one thing; the reflections are way better. But what camera/glass are you using, and any advice on settings/processing?

But I prefer Vert's by a long way. Mostly for the water reflections and the star effect on the lights - which some people try to reduce, but I really like.

There are some really nice shots in this thread. Really loving the various ones of wellington at night.
I bought a Sony a200 about 3 weeks ago as my first dslr and i really like it. It has accompanied me on various holidays so far, and im still trying to get the hang of taking good photos. Any tips appreciated. you can see them bigger + others on my flickr if you want to check them out: http://flickr.com/photos/27833379@N05/ |
