And the sad part about that is both Ford an GM do have good cars in their stables. The Focus is a brilliant small car, and GM? Holden Bro!!!

The European focus is a good car. The US one... isn't: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Focus_(North_America)

And Holdens are sold in the US as Pontiacs (only the top end HSV-style models), and are still heavier, thirstier and not as well put together as many other alternatives - in other words, just like the cars that got the US industry in trouble. Also, the Chevy Lumina used to be a rebadged Commodore, but not since the VT I believe.

Love that 'Big 3' ad pisstake

Can't see any smoke from where I am.
There is tons of low-lying cloud on the hills today that looks very smoky though.

I only wanted to have the comofort of knowing others were now watching it.

Of course, I'd not be downloading it myself. That would be illegal, and take the joy out of the lives of those that want to saturate me with their customers' advertisments in a couple of years time when it is shown here.

well, since you think they are stupid, I guess it is because you don't understand it:

Quote:
The custom of firing cannon salutes originated in the British Royal Navy. When a cannon was fired, it partially disarmed the ship, so needlessly firing a cannon showed respect and trust.
and

Gun salutes also occur when Parliament is prorogued by the Sovereign
so it is a mark of respect.

I assume you're talking about a rebound effect from using it for too long or the like? It takes ages, and you can't use anything of the sort for the duration. By of the sort I mean a topical decongestant, no matter what the active ingredient. Pills only.

Ah, sheeeit... I might go talk to a chemist. But not the one that told me not to use the decongestant too much.

Coldplay being sued by Joe Satriani for plagiarism.

I've had a listen to Coldplay's Viva la Vida, and then Satriani's If I Could Fly, and I think that despite some similarities in parts of the melody and chord structure, they sound very different overall. Satriani's clutching at straws here IMO.

Here's a mash-up of the two - which is a bit more incriminating, but still not conclusive in my opinion.

ps: I don't actually like either song or artist much, but just find the case interesting.

I did that as a teen and my GP told me I'd screwed up my mucus membranes, and they were now going to need to recover. As it turned out I developed allergies after that. Not sure if it was related, but wouldn't surprise me. I became allergic to cats, pollen, and mildew spores :/

I'm not sure how long it took me to recover from the rebound, but I was still a bit snotty a couple of months later, though it was much better. It's a gradual thing. I was warned off nasal spray decongestants for six months though.

they mentioned this on the Rock this morning - more around Joe Sat listening to Coldplay than any kind of plagiarism.

They also have a greater chance or surviving a plane crash, as their lungs are conditioned to operating in low-oxygen conditions (i.e. when the plane is filled with smoke).

google it for the answer. you really shouldn't use it for more than a few days at a time. certainly no more than five.

you may need to have a section inside your nose burned so as to reduce the blood flow.
