Actually Quint, more employers are letting people work 4 day weeks.

Two different ways that I've seen this working:

Work the same number of hours, but longer days, or
Work only 4 days, but get paid less

I'd love to work 4 days at longer hours

I suppose it does depend on the industry you work in to how happy your employer would be to allow you to work funny hours.

use to work mon-thurs, 7am - 5:30pm, looonng as days the afternoons would seem to stretch on forever, but finishing on thursday night was the shit.

This is why I made sure the one apartment I've owned was soon to be unit titled before signing. Buying BC apartments just before they UT rocks. You make a bundle with very little outlay or effort.

Cheers flic. It was all a disaster really, I waited there for about half an hour before an editor came out and said the boss was in a meeting and wouldnt make it, so he was going to talk to me about the job. He said he didnt know anything about the job, and it was the first he had heard about it so a pretty awkward conversation followed as I had no idea what the whole job description was either. He showed me some stuff about the films he's been working on, I was really nervous as we really didn't have a flowing conversation. I showed him my showreel (which was a rushed job and pretty shit overall), he looked at it, said thanks and said he'd forward the boss my email and as I was leaving I said "Cheers Andrew."

His name was Adrian.

I sent an email a few hours later when I got home basically begging for it and making sure I called him Adrian (so he might think he misheard me calling him Andrew). So that might have helped?

Really surprised I got it in the end, but it's a dream job and I'm so stoked about it, so stoked.

Heh, your showreel must have been what they were looking for.

One concern I have is that they didn't put a lot of care into how they hired you, so may turn out not to put much care into how they treat you as an employee.
