Remove from oven & peel (will need a knife)
Lightly salt with Garlic Salt, then place on baking sheet, return to oven until golden & crunchy.

Alternately: Instead of sprinkling salt on the plantain, leave it to soak in strongly garlic-salted water for ~5 min before thoroughly draining (pat dry with paper towel) and returning to oven - will help the outside crisp to an even crunchier state.

It's a good spud substitute, despite that it's in the Banana family.

Yeah they are really easy to open, they don't seal around the edges at all (unless stapled). They also have those pegs and...peg.. receptacles.. up the top to make sure they close all lined up.
