Do you believe the moon landing was fake?

HENCE WHY FOREVER ALONE
|
I think it is highly likely that it was faked. There are a lot of anomalies and things which don't seem right, and a lot was at stake. If I was to quantify my certainty, I'd probably go with 10% chance it actually happened how we were told, with 90% likelihood the US practiced their art of deception.
As I think I've said before, I find it incredible, in a literal sense. Very hard to believe. In that 10% chance that I consider it may have actually happened, it was an absolutely fantastic achievement. But considering what was at stake, I would apply Occam's Razor and say the simpler solution of faking the moon landing to get the accolades is easier than to actually send men to the moon in such a short time frame without a hitch. I would find it much easier to believe if the US had a reputation of honesty and integrity, but unfortunately that is not the case. As the video states, it has become a religion for many people, and /if it were the case/ that the moon landing was faked, it would be an uncomfortable feeling for many people to accept that governments are corrupt and do dishonest things for money and power. While I think we all know it's the case, most of us just shuffle it away in the back of our minds. For the record, I also don't believe: - that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction (this is accepted now) - that Building 7 fell of its own accord (explosives) - that a plane hit the Pentagon (missile) - that "Oswald" killed JFK (CIA assassination) - that Epstein killed himself (murdered?) - that McAfee killed himself (murdered?) - that Biden won the election fairly (too many anomalies, too corrupt to lose) - that governments value your privacy (this is accepted now) - that COVID vaccines work (they clearly don't) - that Prince Andrew doesn't sweat (he's just a man with a good lawyer) - that Diana's "accident" was accidental - that governments/powerful people are honest in general On a side note, I watched "House of Hammer" last night - a documentary about Armie Hammer and how his wealthy family have been powerful for generations and have gotten away with things because of money. Although the story is more about Armie's dark side of abusing women. There's an interesting connection to then Prince Charles that features in it, although there is no "smoking gun" implicating him in anything specific. It's more to suggest how having fuck you money leads to having powerful connections and a bizarre sense of entitlement/invincibility.

The options are grand pervasive conspiracy, like They Live level of conspiracy, that's ongoing. Or the moon landing happened. The moon landing would be easier. There's a huge volume of public knowledge, more than any one person can truly digest, available about the moon landing. Technology in use today can be traced back to its development during the Apollo program. There any many people with their careers and all the documents, artefacts, memories and most importantly competency that came with working on the project. Things that would take exceptional effort and expertise to fake and an ever growing volume of people willing to keep a secret. To fake the moon landing, yet have it produce all this genuine technical value? To spawn a genuine space industry? And have it all kept secret? Maybe. Perhaps the CIA's LSD experiments bore more fruit than they let on, something we're all under the sway of now. They must have found something to make them super-smart too, unless I'm delusional about this functional computer and the hyper-complex system it connects to, the infrastructure it depends on.

I'm not saying everything to do with space/NASA is fake - that's a misinterpretation. Rockets? Sure, I believe in them. Probes sent out? Yup. Scientific unmanned missions? I've no reason to doubt them. But you can be running late on a project, and do a contrived smoke and mirrors demo of your product - without people realizing it was incomplete - then get back to work after the demo. Not everyone involved would have to know it's fake. Being an unwitting operator sitting in the control room on Earth being fed bogus data would appear the same as the real thing. The timing was the critical factor - it was, after all, a space RACE. That would be the motivation for faking it - not to produce fake competency and fake data about space. Of course NASA exists, and they developed technology for space missions. I do believe in the International Space Station. As I say, I'm not 100% certain, but there are a lot of things which seem off and makes me dubious about it all happening in 1969 as we're told. Not just the anomalies in the footage, but even the head of the program quitting just before the launch, and all 3 astronauts resigning shortly after the mission with their glum looks at the debriefing and Neil Armstrong refused to do interviews: "First man on the moon, what can you tell us about your experience?" "No comment" wtf? The documentary "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Moon" is Bart Sibrel's work and you can watch that (torrent) if you're interested. Or you can refuse to watch it because it's not Government authorized material and may contain untruths and break the spell. It's fairly inconsequential whether you or I believe it or not, or whether we agree. I just have a healthy skepticism of things which appear to be bullshit that have loads of money and "national security" involved, while you have a passion for believing that everything about science is great and amazing. Pessimism vs optimism. And that's OK. Anyway, this isn't a thread to debate the moon landing, I just thought the video was interesting, and how boring would life be if we accepted that everything we're told is the truth, and thought that no one ever tells lies. But that's what a lot of people seem to think.
