lol, pissed myself laughing at that baby comment. France out muscled, lots of errors all round. Argentina got better as the game went on, France missed some big opportunities.

The Argentine defence was great

I just want to know what France thought was going on. I'm wondering if they were perhaps suffering from really bad lag or something...

That's what it looked like, anyway.

Sweet, this will give the All BlacksŪ a chance to do something they've never done before, get knocked out in the quarter-finals.

And I was one of them. When I first signed up I thought there would be an upset in the first game.

Also means that the Puma's have a chance to top the table and if the irish knock over the french then im picking the french supporters will get in behind NZ seeing as their team will be out.

i reackon the other pool D games vs Namibia & Georgia will be really crucial - coz France will beat Ireland, and Ireland will beat Argentina - points differential to decide top two maybe?

I couldn't stop myself from laughingl, the MIGHTY French getting their arse kicked all over the field

It has to be said that the Agrino's got the bounce of the ball a couple of times during the match. But the turning point for me was the defence for the first 10 minutes after the first half. Normally you would expect Argentinia to roll with that kind of attack. But they held their line, and with a couple of missed penatys by the French the game was all over.

I have to admit I was jumping up and down by the end of the game, go the underdog! Doesn't matter at the end of the day, NZ will still hopefully still be able to pull it off.

PS. To all you guys moaning about who the commentator is, I'm in #$##$#@$ Poland i'm over the moon that they are actually showing the games on Pay TV over here

PPS. Go the All Blacks

one complaint would be "wtf is with the up-and-unders?"
basically gave away a lot of possession with them.... (plus Grant Fox didn't like them)

I started watching from the second half, and I noticed just about every replay showed Sebastian WhatsHisName, and if he wasn't in the replay, they would show him walking along.

You and me both brother, I was cheering like the ABs were playing in the final.

It was a great game and Argentina deserved that. The only thing holding Argentina back is more exposure to high level Rugby, I wish SANZAR would bring them into the Tri-Nations.

Amen. They did that in really stupid positions too, when there was nothing to be gained.

yeah, they usually play with plenty of passion
my money was with them at the TAB, although i didnt go with a staright win, but a point start.
i thought france would do better being the first game and home ground.

france will now terrorise the IRA when they meet

Errr... I must've been watching a different game.

I was watching an Argentine side that was nothing special playing a French side that was really bad. Argentina had solid, disciplined defence, and a ton of passion - but any Southern Hemisphere team would've easily dismantled them IMO.
