Hope nobody tells him that as of last month the NZ Ministry of Health doesn’t consider puberty-blocker drugs to be safe and reversible.
The “illogical conservative” position that Stewart is snarking about is the scientific one. What Stewart’s interlocutor is expressing - admittedly clumsily - is the position supported by the scientific research. She may be a fundie Christian but that doesn’t mean the science isn’t on her side.
There is no clear evidence that the treatments in question are either necessary or safe, and a lot of evidence that they’re not. Stewart appears to be ignorant of that fact, which is weird considering it’s the subject of the “interview”.
