How many times have you heard "I get my news from The Daily Show, I trust it more than normal news." ... the promoters, producers, and funding of The Daily Show (now Last Week Tonight, et al) were / are well aware that many people trust them as being more truthful than mainstream media. Once you have everyone's ear and trust, it's time to churn out the divisive propaganda.
Take the Trump Russiagate BS: aside from being more entertaining (debatable) is there any difference between Stephen Colbert and Rachel Maddow?
