Ain't never seen a surge protector that can sort out 10,000,000,000 joules.
Ok, granted, the guy was a few houses down from the lightning strike. Lets halve that.
And while we're halving it, lets compare and contrast with a typical 7,000 joule gaseous arrestor. Mmmm.
Surge Protectors are not lightning rods. Lightning rods are lightning rods. You want lightning protection? Get a lightning rod, and THEN lots of gaseous arrestors.. you're still gonna need 'em, chaps!
