The thing is we face numerous very real existential threats, that could end humanity. We need competent institutions able to mitigate these risks, and they need to be protected from people with loud voices who threaten them with baseless accusations. Which doesn't mean you can't keep such institutions accountable. But you do so a coherent, substantive manner.
