Its actually an issue that we keep putting the fires out; burn and regrowth is a part of the boreal forests life; the fire in BC is bigger I believe the one in fort Mac just happened to be near a town; the snow melted but hadn't been absorbed into the trees yet; guessin someone had acampfire that got outta control
(I'm In a town that burned 5 years ago and had family evacuate to our place from Fort Mac this time)
That said every winter is milder and every summer hotter up here so not gonna be great
