China reports they have 93,200 cases... yeah they are still under reporting. Elsewhere we're equating positive cases with infectious cases and over-reporting. This AND that.
Numbers and targets make people and governments do stupid shit as they believe the map is the terrain. OTOH I believe Dr. Nicholas Christakis when he says the fear, panic and economic devastation would have kicked in regardless. Also, he puts more weight on the death count rather than the positive case count.
