Well, going by Apple's previous history, I would expect everyone to rush out and buy one as soon as they are released, then wait for a few weeks to start complaining about the screen bubbling or changing colour, the units overheating, and the batteries going dead etc

Apple did ok with the ipod because it was created for a market that largely didn't exist at the time. But as some tech commentators have already said - there are plenty of mobiles that cover just about everything this iPhone does, and the only bonus this thing has going for it, is the shiny Apple logo on the back of it.

I am not going to be in a great hurry to replace my current phone. But with the models Nokia and Sony are putting out now, it will be an interesting market come 2008.
