The problem with all these articles that 'say see this, it's going to cause a problem in the future', is it reinforces and normalises a public perception that this is something we have to deal with in the future.

Look at a map of the world. All the bits that are mostly useless because they're usually covered in snow are about to become very very useful. The people that control the usually covered in snow bits are about to become very wealthy, or very invaded.
