They said to be available for an entire week, and I might be chosen for a case that's expected to take up to three weeks. No idea if thats just a generic letter template though.
just asked a guy at work that did jury duty last month whether his letter said 'three weeks case' and it didn't. so I guess we're on the same roll.

he said that about 100 people get called. they all sit in the same room. and then a 'ballot' comes through where about 45 people get picked. those 45 people go into a court room and can be challenged without a reason. so that's two sets of hurdles to get past before even we can get to be on the jury :/
but apparently you get paid for every day you show up (only about 34 dollars + transport).
