It's not about who pays for what, it's about what's expected in exchange for funding. Whatever the IRIB's motivation is for paying for a couple of NZ journalist's to come visit, when those journalists return to NZ they'll tell the story they want to tell. Local businesses on the other hand will want the story told that will get the most people listening to the "And the story was brought to you by Acme Co." part of the story. Even if that means bumping the PM so we can hear some rubgy head lament some late night indiscretions.
