Facing backlash, Netflix defends Cuties as 'social commentary' against sexualising young girls
Having watched it I think the backlash is way over the top. I thought it did well in critiquing modern culture & social media & how this drives the sexualization of kids. There are scenes that make you feel uneasy but I think that's the point.
