Complacency and over-confidence will make anyone an idiot.
This goes not just for boy-racers, but also for that other roadside menace, the middle aged wankers in their V8 Holdens believing that they "know every inch of their car and what it can do" and thus "push it to its limits".
No matter how good you may be, or think you are, theres no way you can know what car may be coming around the corner, what sheep may have strayed onto the road, what partial landslide wasn't cleared up well enough, etc.
