I have to admit that I'm really enjoying HL1, enough so that I'll be playing HL2 afterward.
The old AAA titles (to oldies like us) really do hold up well.
I definitely think there's less passion in developers these days in single-player games with a few notable exceptions (Mass Effect, Metro games or the Witcher series).
