Dungeon siege had less depth than D2, prettier, but... not the famously well developed (not speaking code) game blizzard put out.
Dungeon Siege is the type of game a company thinks is "well developed," and then they add "polish" by adding gameplay. Blizzard go for gameplay, THEN code.
