1 meal a day is much easier to manage than a >72hr water fast. I find them brutal. By 48 hours I get panic sweats and I'm in the fetal position on the living room floor. 1 hour later and I'm total zen again.

Although, with time restricted / intermittent fasting you likely don't get the autophagy (cancer-killing) factors at play.
