Maintaining boundaries is an important part of growing healthy, adaptive adult behaviour. However, I was largely referring to unwinding organised scam operations as Jim Browning demonstrates is possible.
That said, catching people out for stealing from others just because it appears easy, then giving them a telling off would be enough to correct the behaviour of many, both those caught and those who hear of others being caught.
