Hmm - it's tricky as he's been around for so long.
I think
the chess set he made is a good one. The way he bandsaws and free hand lathes with razor blades makes OSH cringe. The classes he runs at his homestead in upstate NY look hella expensive. Then you find out he was a lecturer/tutor at some design school. He may be dyslexic?
And then there are the ice picks.
The way he did the hinges for the hatch - print out the plastic parts then freehand wooden copies - seemingly without relating to the original drawings or measurements - just replicating it from the printed copies. Hardly ever see him using measuring tools or plans.
