What chipset is your motherboard? AMD or Intel? There are known driver issues with AMD USB-C.
Also the audio thing - there's a setting in the WMR portal to default to headset audio when the portal is running. Generally I switch that off and use ear buds, I don't have any headphones that would fit with the headset on.
