Everyone has their bubbles. The people I interact with day to day tend to fall in the university-educated progressive lefty space, and everyone seems to care a lot. But I'm a realist, and I understand that governments rise and fall based on the desires of a small number of swing electorates, and the people in those electorates aren't in my bubble.
