In my experience it actually cares a shitload about cancer patients because of all the funding they get. If you get cancer, you've won the heathcare lottery with all the support you get as a result. If you get anything else, from brain aneurysms to eye worms, they'll send you out the door with a "There's probably a specialist you can see in 6-12 months for $300-600 a session, good luck with that!"
