JJ loves his mysterious plot devices, but rarely do they pay off. "Oh that massive plot device from last season? Yea, it doesn't matter now."
They're frustrating as hell.
My money's on "Skywalker" being a new basis force theology in moderation, in Luke's image. Death of Jedi and Sith, rise of Skywalker, etc.
