I remember being in the car with my old man when i was about 13 and he was listening to Paul Holmes commenting "I have absolutely no idea why anybody would've built on the south side of the hill in Remuera 100 years ago".
It then led my father down a rabbit hole explaining how north facing houses get more exposure of the sun and he rambled on about Titirangi being a shithole because it's south facing and damp and everyone is sick or a hippy.
Definitely a random thought
