oh FUCK yes. They're a disaster. I can not think of a more awful combo than a non-English speaker with shitty communication skills (duh, because scientist) using Powerpoint to present about a controversial subject. This was always going to be a trainwreck.
Even if Strumia's position were completely reversed ("women are inherently the bestest at physics and the system is appropriately weighted in their favour!") he would still be getting lynched. Noone with his background using Powerpoint on that subject would be able to avoid it.
