I've been using 2 different UPnP servers for the last week or so. I actually think having a combination of TVersity and FUPPES is the ultimate setup of greatness.
TVersity for it's ease of use and for playing random OGG audio files that won't transcode using FUPPES (annoying as hell). FUPPES for everything else.
I found FUPPES to be a little more stable than TVersity, although this can vary at times.
P.S. PS3 is the uber win media centre
