If they have to engage third parties in order to have the attractive service offerings required to win business, then that's their decided business model. It's an expensive business model, and it's bloody cheeky to then ask the third parties to work at cost in order to keep their costs down and avoid pricing themselves out of the market.

I highly doubt they're passing your costs onto their client with zero margin.

I guess they're depending on up & coming talent that needs them for the individuals CV/reel/coverage/exposure etc.
