I am unfamiliar with the anime, so sat down with no pre-dispositions. But in the opening scene, I said, "I think this was filmed in NZ..."
The pokie machines in the Casino looked like rejects from a dungy country pub. Nekminnut, the random vehicles in the background of the scene on New Tejuiana was a blue Morris Minor.
Overall, I think I like it. Will rewatch again when the boy comes home from work.
