I heard a good current theory by the political pundits the other day, which is a bit sad.

The likely outcome is that Labour will solidify themselves as centre. People who are left have a home in the Greens, and it means that National will have a harder time getting the centre voters.
Which means we won't get a lot of the things that Labour may have done last term but had NZF stopping them.

It makes sense, National started doing that with Key. They moved to the centre which meant Labour had to push left.
